ΕΥΑΤΗ S.A. (hereinafter the “Company”) informs the investment community that on the 31st July 2026, Law 5325/2026, entitled “Expansion of the competences of the Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company and the Thessaloniki Water Supply and Sewerage Company, reinforcement of the Regulatory Authority for Waste, Energy and Water, provisions concerning the Thessaly Water Management Organisation S.A., and other provisions”, was published in the Government Gazette of the Hellenic Republic (Issue A’ 122), following its adoption by the Hellenic Parliament.

The key provisions of the Law affecting the Company are summarized below:
- The Company’s scope of activities is expanded to include the provision of irrigation services and, potentially, the management of stormwater drainage networks.
- The Company’s geographical area of competence is extended to include the remaining local government units of the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki, as well as the Regional Unit of Chalkidiki (the “Expansion Areas”). The implementation of the expansion is to be completed no later than 31 July 2027.
- The transfer to the Company of the assets and liabilities of the water service providers operating in the Expansion Areas is provided for, subject to financial, legal and technical due diligence, as well as valuation by independent experts.
- The Company’s exclusive right to provide water supply and sewerage services within its area of competence is extended by seven (7) years, i.e. until 2038.
- One member of the Company’s Board of Directors shall be nominated by the Regional Association of Municipalities of Central Macedonia.
